Counterfeit Salt

Who is framing the way you think?

Have you ever asked yourself that question? That set of beliefs that you hold, the principles that give direction to your life, who is sharpening those for you? Who is framing the box in which you find yourself?

Who Am I?

That is one of the most common emails I receive. At the risk of a little shameless self-promotion, I think I have been asked that question enough that it is time to respond.

As one whose voice seems to be gaining more traction in the cultural war, allow me to pull back the curtains and let you peek into my soul.

ADD, Absent Dad Disorder

American public education is always looking for an excuse.

The NEA says schools are failing because of money.  Some pundits say they are failing because of student/teacher ratios.  Others say it is the influx of immigrants, or (ahem) discrimination.

Which Jesus?

I just don’t get it. I really don’t. How has they church so easily been led away from her roots? Modern Christianity bears almost no resemblance to the powerful 1st century New Testament church that radicalized the world. Jesus turned the world upside down with 12 committed Average Joes. Jesus Christ spawned a revolution that is still reverberating around the world today.

America is not very wise. The once-great envy of the world is looking more impotent everyday. Skyrocketing deficits, education system in crisis, policeman of the world, open borders, fiat currency, tolerance, diversity, decadence, moral relativity, multiculturalism, and Iranian nukes - those are just some of the issues we face here.

Any military leader worth his salt will tell you it is the safest way to victory.  Split the enemy forces and you can overrun them like the Indians at Little Big Horn.

I don't know what you know about Pastor Rod Parsley, or if you have even heard of him. He is pastor of mega World Harvest Church in Columbus, Ohio and host of the TV program Breakthrough broadcast on stations all around the world.

Doesn't God Care?

"I hate you Dad," said my diminutive 7-year old daughter Maggie a few years ago, not appreciating the style of shoes I had just bought for her. "You never do what I want you to do."
